Vicki Bethuram, 67

Vicki Jean Bethuram, age 67, of Sturgis, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.

She was born April 30, 1945, in Richmond, Ind., a daughter of the late Mack and Midge (Whalen) Bethuram.

Vicki had resided in Sturgis most of her life and was once married to Patrick G. Barrone in Three Rivers.

She had been employed for several years at Michiana Container and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Vicki was a great mom and had a great love for animals, especially exotic birds, dogs and horses, which she used to train. She also enjoyed music, dancing, singing, and writing poetry.

Surviving are a son, Christopher Barrone of Three Rivers; a granddaughter, Skylar C. Barrone of Centreville; a great-grandson, Dalton; three brothers, Gene Bethuram of Broken Arrow, Okla., Vaughn (Paulette) Bethuram of Three Rivers and Gary (Pattie) Bethuram of Blue Ridge, Texas; two sisters, Michelle Akins and Roxanne (James) Webb, both of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 13 aunts and uncles.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1–2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 66948 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Vicki Jean Bethuram will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, with Mr. Ron Marshall, officiating.

The family suggest memorial donation in her memory be directed to the World Wide Works of Jehovah’s Witness or Pet Haven. Envelopes are available at Hackman Family Funeral Home – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
