Daisy E Wagner, age 77, of Constantine, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Three Rivers Health. She was born in Marion, IN on July 11, 1935, a daughter of Marion L. “Muddy” and Ethel C. (Wright) Waters. Daisy graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1953. On July 11, 1954 she married Hubert R. Wagner in Constantine. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2000.
Daisy devoted her life to taking care of her family and home. She was also a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Three Rivers and the St. Joe Valley Old Engine Club for over 50 years, and was previously active in the Constantine Sports Boosters. Daisy managed the Three Rivers Emergency Care Network Food Site from 1987 to present, has served as a volunteer and cook at the Three Rivers Community Soup Pot for over 15 years, and previously volunteered at the Three Rivers T.R.U.E. Center. In recognition and gratitude for all of her volunteer work with the Three Rivers Community, Daisy was named Three Rivers Citizen of the Year in 2007.
Surviving Daisy are her daughters Cindy Wagner, Barb Wagner, sons Roger (Connie) Wagner, all of Constantine, and Don (Lura) Wagner of Georgetown, IN, grandchildren Kim (John) Ragusa, Henryville, IN, Tina (Nedal) Nabhan, Valparaiso, IN, Jennifer (Galen) Mealor, Sturgis, Ashley and Brian Wagner of Georgetown, IN, great grandchildren Justin and Kari Ragusa, Halie Kuzio, Erika Bruks, Sage Wagner, Alyssa, Aubrey and Riley Mealor and Nalah Nabhan, great great granddaughter Natalia Shoback, sisters Sara Jackson, Sue (Joe) Smetana, Janet Harvard, all of Three Rivers and brother Marion “Vern” (Jan) Waters of Constantine. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Roger A. Wagner, Jr.
Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Three Rivers, MI. at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, with Pastor Ed LeClair officiating. Interment will follow at Constantine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Three Rivers E.C.N. or St. Peters Lutheran Church.
