Duane C. Fenner, 75, passed away Nov. 24, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was born June 19, 1937, in Branch County to Homer Fenner and Eva French Fenner.
Duane moved to Port Charlotte from Colon on Oct. 1, 1965. On Sept. 12, 1959, he married Bessie Pesti from Colon. He graduated from Colon High School in 1955 and attended Michigan State College for two years.
He was a maintenance supervisor for Eagle Point Mobile Home Park and a state-licensed water plant operator, retiring from Charlotte Correctional Institution in 2007.
Duane is survived by his children, Duane E. Fenner of Bradenton, Fla., Teresa Slatton of Punta Gorda, Fla., and George Fenner of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren Angela, Destiny and Jacob; sisters Glea Anthonissen of Florida, Carol German of White Pigeon, Marilyn Shaw of Burr Oak and Shirley (Charles) Draime of Sturgis; brothers Homer Darwin (Colleen) Fenner of Allegan and Roger (Patty) Fenner of Charlestown, Ind.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Memorial services were held Dec. 29, 2012, at Kays-Proger & Uselton Funeral Home in Port Charlotte.
