Constantine village officials have passed a resolution to honor recently retired police Sgt. Robert Studabaker.
Studabaker on Dec. 31 ended a career that exceeded 32 years with the Constantine Police Department. Village Manager Mark Honeysett, who was one of four chiefs under whom Studabaker served, said Studabaker maintained a level of competence and professionalism that benefitted the Constantine Police Department.
According to the resolution, Studabaker has served as a member of the Constantine Lions Club and the village’s Jaycees.
An Air Force veteran, Studebaker completed a police internship with the Three Rivers Police Department.
He will be the guest of honor at a retirement party Feb. 2 at the FOP lodge east of Centreville.
