Maria Aurora Montoya, age 53, of Sturgis, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 15, 2013, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
She was born May 17, 1958, in San Jose Del Rincon, Michoacan, Mexico, a daughter of the late Denasiano Montoya and Maria Carmen Munoz.
Maria was married to Juan Zuniga Zapata for 18 years.
She also was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Maria is survived by her four children: a son, Joel Parrales Montoya, and three daughters, Juana Zuniga Montoya, Jasmin Zuniga Montoya and Guadalupe Zuniga Montoya.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa, Sturgis. A funeral Mass celebrating the life of Maria Aurora Montoya will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, directly following visitation. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
