Michael Jay Haney, 55, of Casa Grande, Ariz., and formerly of Burr Oak, died Oct. 23, 1012, at Alamo Lake, Ariz.
He was born Feb. 26, 1957, to Norman and Eleanor (Hill) Haney in Sturgis.
Mike was an avid Michigan fan, loved riding his Harley-Davidson, camping, hunting and four-wheeling. He was proud of his service in the Air Force and for running several marathons. He loved his dogs and sharing a beer with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 14 1/2 years, Anna of Casa Grande; a daughter, Carmen Clements of Iraq; a son, Steven Haney of Michigan; four stepchildren, Eddie Velazquez, Anthony Sanchez, Toby Lawson and Summer LaVoo; three sisters, Anna (James)?Van Nest, Joyce Haney and Ken Brackett, and Teresa Grose and Neal Redick; 11 grandchildren; a niece, Tonya Kargol; five nephews, Tony Van Nest, Tyler Grose, David, Ken Jr. and Casey Brackett; and several aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him dearly.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Norman and Eleanor; a brother, Norman Lee; and a nephew, James Richard Van Nest.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Jan. 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak.
