Wet roads that froze late Tuesday and early Wednesday resulted in a pair of rollover accidents in St. Joseph County Wednesday.
Sheriff’s department officials said the first incident took place at 7:10 a.m. in Park Township, where a van driven by 35-year-old Three Rivers resident Sherry Lynn Johnson ran off the road, into a ditch and rolled over.
The accident occurred on Heimbach Road, just east of M-60. Johnson was not injured.
The second rollover occurred about a half hour later on Silver Street in Mendon Township.
Investigators said 21-year-old Madelaine Vaden, of Sturgis, was north on Silver Street when she attempted to pass another vehicle near Pinhook Road, and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went into a ditch, overturned and struck a tree.
Vaden was treated for minor injuries at Sturgis Hospital.
