Windellin “Sue” Ashbrook, age 77, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 19, 1935 in Senath, MO the daughter of the late Edman and Leona (Pruett) Barker.
Sue has been a long time resident of this area. She was employed for many years at Western Michigan University in Food Services and later retired from Friendship Villiage. Sue loved to cook and prepare meals for both friends and family. She was very active in the Portage-Schoolcraft Eagles Aerie #3531 where she was a Charter member and volunteer.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert “Bob” Ashbrook, two sons, Dean and Don Ashbrook and one son-in-law, Dick Stuckey.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three children, son, Dennis (Stacy) Ashbrook, of Three Rivers; daughters, Deborah(Dick) Stuckey, of Three Rivers, and Denise (Carl Jr.) Fry; of St. Helen, MI.; grandchildren, Christopher (Stasi) Webber, AhiLeahi, Josh, Amanda, Ashley, Danny, and Hannah Ashbrook; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Christopher James Webber.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Ladies Eagles Service starting at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in Schoolcraft Cemetery following services with a luncheon to follow at the Portage-Schoolcraft Eagles 11611 Shaver Road, Schoolcraft, MI. 49087
