Erma Kay Wooster, age 63, of Caro, and formerly of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw.
She was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Sturgis, a daughter of Donald Harris and Eloise (Walters) Kottenbrock, and spent most of her life in the Sturgis area.
On Feb. 27, 1971, Erma was united in marriage with James “Hank” Wooster in Orland, Ind. He preceded her in death in 2009. Erma had many jobs throughout her career, but most recently worked at Meijer until she retired. She loved her dogs, playing games on the computer and spending time with her family and friends.
Erma is survived by her four children and their spouses, James and Rhonda Wooster of Vicksburg, Jody and Linda Wooster of Avilla, Ind., Jerry and Kimberly Wooster of Vicksburg and Josie and Jacob Cossairt of Oviedo, Fla.; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her loving companion, Raymond Bragg of Caro; her father, Donald (Virginia) Harris of Centerville; and a sister, Diana (Jim) Anderson of Saint Joseph.
In addition to her husband, Erma was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise Kottenbrock.
In keeping with Erma’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
