Beverly Jean Loomis, 85, of Pace, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at the Santa Rosa Hospital. She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Edgar and Hazel Hoffines. Beverly was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She married Robert Lee Loomis on Jan. 29, 1949.
Beverly worked at Arco in Schoolcraft and the Whitehouse in Three Rivers. They moved to Milton, Fla. in 1986. She was very involved in church activities at the First Baptist Church of Milton, Fla. and devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Marlene Kunz; sons, Darley (Teresa) Loomis of Three Rivers, Kim (Paula) Loomis of Constantine and George (Yvonne) Loomis of Pace, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, James Hoffines of Kokomo, Ind. Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Robert Eugene Loomis, and several brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received at 4 p.m. with the memorial service at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at the First Baptist Church of Milton, Fla. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Robert Loomis, 3981 University Street, Pace, FL 32571.
