Judy Ann Lutz, 70

Judy Ann Lutz, age 70, of White Pigeon, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at her home following a long illness.

Judy was born July 22, 1942, in Marcellus, a daughter of Harold and Sylvia Milhahn.

Judy graduated from Constantine High School in 1960.

On June 25, 1960, she married James T. Smith in Constantine. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1994.

On Nov. 12, 2002, Judy married Franklin T. Lutz on the island of Maui, Hawaii.

Judy and Jim owned and operated the Smith Machine Company in Constantine from 1981 to 1998. She also owned the Treasure Chest Clothing store in Sturgis and Constantine.

Surviving Judy are her husband, Frank Lutz, of White Pigeon; a daughter, Jean Marie Clark of Buchanan; a son, John (Rebecca) Smith of Constantine;a stepdaughter, Rebecca (Richard) Yoder of Constantine; stepsons Greg Lutz of Canada and Mark (Anita) Lutz of Edwardsburg; a sister, Patricia (Ronald) Stears of Constantine; and numerous grandchildren and stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Smith; a stepdaughter, Cherryl Shull; and a step-great-grandchild, Haley Minchella.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will be in Constantine Cemetery.
