Leighton Jerry Longacre, 7 months

Leighton Jerry Longacre, age 7 months, of Centreville gained his wings Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 10, 2012, the son of Jerry E. Longacre and Katie Jean Alexander of Centreville. Leighton will live on in the lives of many others by the donations he made to the Gift of Life.

He is survived by his parents Jerry and Katie, brother, Cohen H. Longacre of Centreville, grandparents, David Alexander Sr, Bronson, Vicky Alexander, ,Three Rivers, Beth Longacre, Centreville, Jerry Longacre, Middlebury IN, great grandparents, Seaborn (Gwen) Alexander of Adairsville, GA, Donna Crouch, Schoolcraft, Jim (Rose) Chapman, Nottawa, great great grandmother, Mildred Kohler, Three Rivers, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Thomas and Glady Kannegieter and Jeanie and Ernest Longacre.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, on Sunday, March 10 from 2-4 and 6-8. Religious services will be held at the Firm Foundations Ministries Church in Centreville on Monday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Jake Swartz and Pastor Doyle Miller Officiating.

Interment will be at Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to the charity of one’s choice.
