A 52-year-old man from Canada was arrested in Lockport Township last week on a federal warrant.
Anthony Sove was arrested by the St. Joseph County Special Response Team at 7 a.m. March 1 at a residence in the 57000 block of Haines Road, according to authorities.
Sove was de ported after having been con victed of an aggravated felony of fense, but illegally returned to the United States.
An investigation by the De partment of Homeland Security led to the Lockport Township home, where Sove was arrest ed without incident and released to agents from the Department of Homeland Security.
He was taken to Grand Rapids for a hearing before a federal magistrate.
