Patty Lockwood, 57

Patty Kay Lockwood, age 57, of Three Rivers, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Bronson Hospital following a very brief illness. She was born in Three Rivers on January 6, 1956 the daughter of Vernon L. and Zelma M. (Davidhizar) Castle.

Patty has been a life long resident of Three Rivers. She graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1974. On April 5, 1975 she was united in marriage to Mr. Gary Lockwood. Patty began her career as a realtor at Century 21. Through her hard work, she became the owner and operator of the Remax First Choice Realty Co. During Patty’s tenure she received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Remax Hall of Fame, Top 1000 Realtor in the U.S.A., Top Realtor St. Joseph County over the last 20 years and the Remax Platinum Award for many years in a row.

Patty was also a member of the Downtown Development Authority, the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce, the Three Rivers Design Committee, and spent many tireless hours with the Three Rivers Sports Boosters.

Patty’s dedication to her family, especially her children and grandchildren, her business, and the local community and its residents were her primary focus. She never missed an opportunity to attend her sons and grandkids events, make a board meeting, or go out of her way to help someone. She enjoyed spending days at Fisher Lake with her family and will be forever missed by many of the lives she touched.

Patty was preceded in death by her father Vernon Castle and one brother, Mr. David Castle.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Gary Lockwood; mother, Mrs. Zelma Castle; four sons, Anthony “Tony”, Joseph “Joey” (Casey), Daniel “Danny” (Heather), and Gary “Garmo” Lockwood; three brothers, Roy (Jackie) Castle, Vernon (Ellen) Castle, and John Castle; two sisters, Peggy (Patrick) Doherty, and Penny Kindig; seven grandchildren, Logan and Riley Lockwood, Erish Edmisten and James Bowman, Madison, Maxton, and Savannah Lockwood. Many, many nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Riverside Church, 207 E. Michigan Ave., Three Rivers, with Pastor Paul Booko officiating.

Interment will be held in Moorepark Cemetery, Park Twp., MI.

Memorial donations may be given to Children’s Miracle Network, Jim Gilmore Center, Riverside Church, or the Three Rivers Sports Boosters. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.hohnerfh.com.
