The next step for a campaign to promote St. Joseph County as a retirement destination for the Chicago-area market will take place at the end of the month.
Members of the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners agreed Tuesday to meet at 3 p.m. March 26 in a work session that will include the marketing firm 2 Fish Company. Holland-based 2 Fish will present three different package levels, providing the five-member commission options in terms of the extent – and at what cost – it wishes to promote the campaign.
The county-funded project will rely on advertising through various mediums and sources to put St. Joseph County’s name and images before a nearby market potentially interested in the county’s natural resources, its relatively low housing costs and slower pace of life.
