William “Bill” W. Hughes, 57

William “Bill” W. Hughes passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 after an extended illness. Bill was born July 11, 1955 in Three Rivers to the late Lester and Joyce (Norton) Hughes. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a special nephew, SSG Brian Lee Morris. He worked for Crocker Limited for 27 years. Bill was a long-time member of Corey Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara (Garber) Hughes. Also surviving are his beloved children, Jonathon and Jayme Hughes; three sisters, Leslie Morris, Kathy (Bill) Norton and Kris Hughes; step-mother, Joann Hughes; special aunt, Ellie Grunert; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 8 at Hohner Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., with Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Inurnment will follow in Poe Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to the family, c/o Hohner Funeral Home.
