Arrests for meth

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department uncovered a methamphetamine operation and a substantial quantity of meth following the execution of a search warrant last week in Fabius Township.

The Friday incident took place following an investigation by the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit at a residence in the 58000 block of County Line Road.

A department media release indicated a substantial quantity of meth was discovered, though a specific amount was not detailed.

Four of six subjects were transported to the St. Joseph County jail; two females, ages 39 and 17, and two males, ages 19 and 21.

A 19-year-old male and a 20-year-old female were released to seek medical attention and charges will be sought through the prosecutor’s office.

Details of their need for medical treatment were not noted.
