Dawn Ardis McNamara, 78, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Riverview Manor. She was born in Three Rivers on March 17, 1935 the daughter of George A. Pendleton and Doris Artley-Tessin.
Dawn was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. She attended Western Michigan University, where she majored in Occupational Therapy. Dawn went on to serve her country in the U.S. Air Force where she was honorably discharged in 1957. Dawn was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers.
Dawn was an avid reader and also enjoyed oil painting. She loved all pets of every size, shape, and color. Dawn truly loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory sons, Sean J. McNamara, Patrick (Kim) McNamara and Christopher McNamara; daughters, Kerry B. (Jerome) Johnson and Kathleen D. (Chris) Stedman; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093. Pastor Bob Anderson will officiate.
Interment will be held at Poe Cemetery, Newberg Township.
Memorials in memory of Dawn may be donated to Animal Rescue Fund of St. Joseph County. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
