Doug Brundige, 76

Douglas Walter Brundige, age 76, of Three Rivers passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2013 at Three Rivers Health. Doug was born in Three Rivers, MI on August 31, 1936 the son of Howard W. and Dorothy(Walters)Brundige.

Doug was resident of the Three Rivers Community, graduated from TRHS class of 1954, a businessman and property owner, and spent his lifetime helping others in the area. Doug served until retirement in the National Guard. He enjoyed spending his winters in Mission Texas. He also was a member of The American Legion Post #170 and the Three Rivers Eagles Lodge # 2303.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, infant brother, Howard , Jr., infant daughter, Bette Ann, and brother-in-law, Dennis Huyck.

Doug leaves to cherish his loving memory, sons, Timothy “Tim”(Chrissy Hammock)Brundige, of Three Rivers and Gary Brundige of Mishawaka, IN; sister, Rheta(Brundige)Huyck, of Three Rivers; granddaughters Leah, Staci, & Erika Brundige; great grandsons, Landon and Connor Hass; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will celebrate the life Douglas from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Hohner Funeral Home. Graveside Committal services will be held immediately following at the Constantine Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of the American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170.
