Five arrested for meth

Five people were arrested on methamphetamine-related charges Wednesday following a raid of a Centreville apartment.

The St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit followed up on a tip that meth was being produced in an apartment at 327 N. Dean St. A search warrant executed at 5:30 p.m. led officers to an active meth lab.

Arrested were two men, ages 41 and 24 years, and three women, ages 49, 30 and 28. They face charges of operating a meth lab, possession of meth and maintaining a drug house. Their names were not released, pending arraignment.

Two children, ages 14 and 4 years, were released to the custody of the St. Joseph County Department of Human Services.
