The next option for gambling opens up in Southwest Michigan at the end of this month. The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians says the Four Winds Dowagiac casino will open on April 30. The casino is the smallest of the three Four Winds locations. Pokagon Chairman Matt Wesaw says it will have 300 slot machines, four table games and a small restaurant. A non-smoking area of the casino holds 20 slot machines. The location has the same design and look as Four Winds New Buffalo and Four Winds Hartford, but on a smaller scale. Casino officials say the small size of the Dowagiac location is perfect for the Cass County area, and add the facility has created 100 new jobs for both Pokagon Citizens and others in the area. (MRN)
