Norm Salter, 74

Norman Leroy Salter, 74, of Mesick, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at Munson Medical Center.

Norman was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Three Rivers, to Harley and Ruth Salter. On Sept. 18, 1959, Norman married Ardith (Osborn) Salter in Centerville.

Norm is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ardith Salter of Mesick; four sons, Sam (Brenda) Salter of Rockford, John (Teresa) Salter of Colon, James (Linda) Salter of Mesick and Jeff (Jeannette) Salter of Mesick; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by three brothers, Chuck (Jeannette) Salter of Washington, George Salter of Marcellus and David (Sheri) Salter of Washington; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and three brothers.

An open house in honor of Norman Salter will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Fraternal Order of Police, 24273 M-86, Centerville.
