Investigators from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s department are looking into an incident of unlawful entry to a residence in Burr Oak Township.
According to a department media release, a resident in the 67000 block of Burr Oak Road reported hearing strange noises in their residence and, upon investigation, located open doors to the residence.
Investigators said it appears the suspects were interrupted by the resident before any items were stolen. The suspects left in an unknown direction.
The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
