General R. “Tony” Pollard, age 69, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 at his home. He was born in Portsmouth, OH on September 5, 1943, a son of Clarence A. and Lida May (Hammond) Pollard. He worked as a finisher in the construction business, retiring in 2008. On January 11, 1965 Tony married Brenda Fay Adams in Angola, IN. He enjoyed playing pool and was involved in several leagues. He was also an avid muscle car and race car fan having been a driver himself. Tony mostly loved his family and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Brenda Pollard, Three Rivers, MI, daughters Tracy (Luis) Aguilar of Sturgis, MI, Kim (Raymond) Smith of Lucasville, OH, son Kevin (Becky) Pollard of Lucasville, OH, grandchildren Adam (Sanyll) Pollard, Shawna (Javier) Eubank, Dakota Jones, Haley (Jamie Fyffe) Eubank, Austin Smith and Jeremiah Smith, great grandchildren Myia Sanchez, Kelsea Pollard and A.J. Pollard, sisters Rita Pollard, Barb Otto, Martha Atkins all of Portsmouth, OH, Betty Christner of Arizona, brothers John Pollard of Three Rivers, Tommy Pollard of Toledo, OH, Walt Pollard, Tennessee and Buck Pollard of Portsmouth, his caregiver Tonia Stears, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place. There will be no public services.
