Edie Munn-Hagen, 94

Edith (Edie) Munn-Hagen, 94, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, following an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 18, 1918, in Crystal, Mich., a daughter to Fred and Eulah (Faylor) Munn.

She spent her early life in Ionia, Mich., and was a graduate of Ionia High School in 1938. Most of her life was spent in the White Pigeon area.

On Oct. 18, 1945, she married Paul E. Hagen. He died April 22, 1981.

She was a bookkeeper, seamstress, cake decorator and served for more than 30 years as a Mary Kay consultant.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was a church elder and deacon. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fan and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathryn (Brian) Daly of Windsor, Conn.; three sons, Paul (Kathy) Hagen Jr. of Ellicott City, Md., Jeffry (Vonda) Hagen of Hudson, Ind., and Dale (Robin) Hagen of White Pigeon; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, LaMoyne (Jim) Meek of Auburndale, Fla.; three brothers, Ben (Connie) Munn, Joe Munn and Bruce Munn, all of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Jane Hagen; granddaughter, Elizabeth Daly; five brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in White Pigeon with the Pastor Steve Kaszar officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.

Donations may be directed to the American Kidney Foundation or the Heartlight Center in Sturgis or the First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
