Gary Paul Lockwood, age 59, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with lung disease. He was born on July 18, 1953 the son of Paul and Bernice (Button) Lockwood.
Gary has been a lifelong resident of Three Rivers. He graduated with the class of 1971 where Gary excelled at sports. On April 5, 1975 he was united in marriage to Patty (Castle) Lockwood whom preceded him in death on March 8, 2013. Gary retired after 22 years of service from Peterson Spring Corp. Gary was extremely dedicated to his sons and all of the sports they participated in, including coaching rocked football, little league baseball, and especially freestyle, middle and high school wrestling. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to fish, canoe and spend days at his Fisher Lake home with his dog, buddy. His true love was his family, especially his grandchildren who loved to visit and spend time there.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Patty, and one sister, Gail.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his four sons, Anthony “Tony” Lockwood, Joseph “Joey” (Casey Pinkerton) Lockwood, Daniel “Danny” (Heather Loomis) Lockwood, and Gary “Garmo” Lockwood; seven grandchildren, Logan and Riley Lockwood, Erish Edmisten and James Bowman, Madison, Maxton, and Savannah Lockwood; sister, Lori Graft; uncles; Dale & Doug Lockwood; cousin, Dale Lockwood; niece and nephews, Matt Mitchell, Derrick and Kelli Schabes.
The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. until time of services at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor John Booko officiating. Interment will be held at Moorepark Cemetery.
