Jeannette G. Hainer, age 53, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away Friday evening, May 10, 2013, at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Mich.
She was born July 13, 1959, in Fall River, Mass., daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Surette) Haire.
Jeannette resided in Sturgis the past three years, coming from Wolcottville, Ind. On April 4, 2002, she married Michael Hainer in Battle Creek.
For the past 10 years she was employed by Walmart in Sturgis. Prior to joining Walmart she worked at Taco Bell for several years and K-mart.
She enjoyed collecting butterflies and was a loyal fan of Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Bruins.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 11 years, Michael Hainer; two sons, William Albert Berard and Michael Robert Berard, both of Fall River, Mass.; one grandson, Brandon Michael Berard; step-daughter, Michele Rexann Vincent of Sturgis; step-grandson, David Orland Vincent, III; four sisters, Elaine Quental of Fall River, Mass., Terri Twiggy Bunce of Dennis, Mass., Jacqueline O’Brien of Fall River Mass. and Crystal Whitman Neel of Brownwood, Texas; two brothers, Henry Howard Haire and George Haire, both of Fall River, Mass.; foster mother, Lynda Simmons of New Bedford, Mass.; and several foster sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dennis Haire.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday to share memories and celebrate the life of Jeannette Hainer at the American Legion Post, 500 W. Chicago Road in Sturgis.
