Mrs. Mary Louise Mains, age 63, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1950 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Lewis Gilbert and Margret (Brady) German.
Mary grew up in Vicksburg, MI. and when she was fourteen she moved to Three Rivers. On Sept. 2, 1967 she was united in marriage to Mr. Larry Mains. Together they owned and operated Mains Handy Man Service. Mary also worked in the Three Rivers Schools Lunch Program where she grew close to many co-workers and students. She was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and loved to be with her family and friends .
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother and sister.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, Larry Mains, three daughters, Melissa (Wilbur) Berry Jr., Renee Mains, and Michele (Brad) Slaton, all of Three Rivers; grandchildren, Jessica and Travis Hale, Danielle Mains, Marissa Berry, Tyler and Mariya Slaton, Trevor Lawrence Mains Slaton, and Rayna Mains; brothers, Bill(Betty Jean)German, of Chicago, IL and Rodney P. German, of Vandalia, MI; Very special friend, Linda Miller and her Yorky, Baby Girl Mains.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Booko officiating.
Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
