Deadline is July 12th

The Three Rivers City Commission has set Friday, July 12 at noon as the deadline for persons interested in filling the vacancy created by the resignation of At-Large Commissioner David York to submit a Citizen Interest Form to the City Clerk’s office.

The determination came Tuesday evening (June 18), the final meeting for York who is moving to Lockport Township and, thus, is not eligible to continue as a commission member.

York was commended for his service on the commission which dates back to 1999.

Under the City Charter, the commission has 30 days to fill such a vacancy by appointment until the next election.

The appointment of a successor to York is expected to come during the commission meeting on Tuesday, July 16th.

Citizen Interest Forms are available from the City Clerk and online via the City of Three Rivers website at www.threeriversmi.org.
