Harriet M. Snyder, 87, of Constantine, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, following an extended illness.
She was born June 18, 1926, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Louise Lindemeier. She was a Constantine resident since 1958, coming from Paw Paw and spent her early life in Norwood, Minn.
On March 1, 1947, she married Donald E. Snyder in Orlando, Fla. He died Feb. 8, 2000.
She was employed at Harding’s in Constantine, was a waitress at the Ten Pin Bar in White Pigeon and worked at Owens Illinois in Constantine, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Mottville Bible Church and enjoyed her family, gardening and garage sales.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Bill) Metz of Warsaw, Ind.; three sons, Thomas Snyder of Great Falls, Mont., Donald (Sharon) Snyder of Sturgis; and Timothy (Vicki) Snyder of Mottville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one half-brother, Richard Telthoester of Chandler, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her mother, stepfather and husband.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where services are at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Michael Bender, of Mottville Bible Church, officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
