Brenda Joyce Dingwitz, age 71, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Saturday evening July 6, 2013 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born September 2, 1941 in Hillsdale, Michigan daughter of the late Richard and Lila (Lyons) Gemmill.
Brenda resided in Sturgis since 1961 coming from Hillsdale. On November 3, 1961 she married John Harold Dingwitz in Georgia.
Brenda had been employed by Herrmann’s East Side Food Shop in Sturgis and she was a home maker, enjoying reading and sewing.
She is survived by one son: Brian Dingwitz of Sturgis; two sisters: Sharon Herrmann of Sturgis and Laurel Groat of Callaway, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Marsha Worthing.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial of the ashes will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak at a later date.
