Marjorie Ann Beard, age 67, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her home. She was born on February 21, 1946 in East Lansing, MI. the daughter of Norman and Ruth (Orr) Mills.
Mrs. Beard has been a lifelong resident of this area outside of a few brief years working in Fort Wayne. She retired from General Motors where she was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union and also acted as a steward. Mrs. Beard attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and graduated from I.C. School while in the eighth grade. Marjorie was a fabulous cook and loved getting her family together during the holidays.
Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Mills.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Charles (Michelle) Beard; three daughters, Angela (Joe) Levandoski, Tonya Hutson, and Samantha Beard, all of Three Rivers; one brother, Norman (Deb) Mills; two sisters, Ruth (Doug) Burson, and Deborah (Bruce) Harley; six grandchildren, Kristen Regan, Andrew and Ryan Levandoski, C.J., Jenna, and Brendan Beard; one great-grandchild, Carter Grewitt. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Three Rivers, MI.
Memorials may be donated to the St. Joseph County Animal Rescue Fund (A.R.F.) Envelopes available at the funeral home.
