Sheriff investigating

Cash, jewelry, a camera and tools were stolen from a garage between July 4 and 14 in Sturgis Township, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.

A department media release indicated the rear window of a garage in the 67000 block of M-66 was compromised, allowing access to the site.

Also, the victim reported a number of items belonging to the Sturgis Kennel Club were taken.

In what appears to be an unrelated incident, an antique chandelier was stolen between July 17 and 23 from a vacant house in the 60000 block of Constantine Road in Lockport Township.
