Sherry Gilmore, 60

Sherrill (Sherry) Lynn Gilmore, 60, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Sherrill was born in Detroit on July 16, 1953 the daughter of Harry Howard and Shirley (Goul) Gilmore.

Sherry graduated from Southfield High School and then Michigan State University with a degree in Interior Design. She later discovered her true talent as a graphic designer. She worked for Marching Show Concepts, Inc., with her brother, for the past 20 years. Sherry was co-owner of Ajoyin Publishing and two years ago began B.Brilliant Designs, a web design company.

Sherry was greatly involved in Aglow International, a Christian-based global organization in Edmonds, Wash. It was with Aglow that Sherry found her true passion. Sherry loved to worship and to help others learn to worship with abandonment. Sherry was a member of Frontline, a contemporary Christian music group. Sherry attended Moorepark Community Church and had helped with the worship team there.

Sherrill leaves to cherish her loving memory, her parents of Sun City, Fla.; brother, Randy Gilmore of Sarasota, Fla.; brother-in-law, John Muehlberg; cousins Glen (Julie) Gordon, Priscilla (Rick) Brown, Wesley Gordon and Jim (Rhonda) Hendricks; close friends, Pam (Joe) Eichorn, Renee Papalion, Cheryl Erbes and numerous other friends who all loved Sherry very much. Sherry was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy (Gilmore) Muehlberg; grandparents, Joseph and Mildred Goul and Nathan and Nellie Gilmore.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 at the Hohner Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 10:30 until time of services at noon on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Moorepark Community Church in Three Rivers with Pastor Ken Miller officiating.
