Tenefern “Tina” Louise Edmisten, 77, of Edwardsburg, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Saturday (July 6, 2013) at the home of her daughter. She was born Aug. 14, 1935 in Grand Rapids to Roland and Carrie (Avery) Clayton.
On June 7, 1958 in Grand Rapids she married Hobey E. Edmisten. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1988 in Three Rivers. Surviving are three children, Hobey E. Edmisten, Jr. of White Pigeon, Carrie (Terry) Smead of Edwardsburg and Ron (Tina) Edmisten of Three Rivers; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Bud, Jennie, Doris and Elbert.
Tina enjoyed making jewelry, going to garage sales, shopping and working in her flower garden. She loved cats and birds and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tina retired in 1997 from Peterson Springs in Three Rivers where she worked for over 30 years.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Chapel Hill Church, 14525 Chapel Hill Street, Union, MI 49130. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Pastor Ken Bontrager will preside. Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southwestern Michigan Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
