William Allen (Bill) Miller, age 79, of Nottawa, left this world and loving family behind and went to his heavenly home on Aug. 24, 2013, following a lengthy illness at his home. He was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Hartville, Ohio, to the late Atlee P. and Susanna (Cross) Miller. Retired from his own fiberglass company, he then had a van service for the Amish. Bill enjoyed life and loved people. He was a faithful member of Wasepi Mennonite Chapel and loved the Lord.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Paul; his daughter Christina Sue; two brothers, Wallace Miller and Atlee Miller Jr. Bill is survived by his wife Josephine (Wickey) Miller of the home; a son, Timothy Allen; two grandchildren, Joshua Timothy Miller and Josie Ann Frohriep; and two great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Jayne Francis.
He is survived by six sisters: Irene (Jake) Hershberger of Hartville Ohio; Fannie (Marten) Yoder, Dorothy (Wilmer) Weaver and Susan (William) Weaver, Cookville, Tenn.; Betty (Joe) Mast of Starke, Fla.; Mary Alice (Roman) Hostetler of Middlefield Ohio. Two brothers, Mahlon (Alice) Miller and Dan Miller Hartville Ohio, and sister-in-law Twila Miller of Hartville, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews to whom he was a special uncle.
A visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. today (Monday) at Word Fellowship Church ,27570 Marvin Road, Centreville, Mich. A funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastors Doyle Miller and Randy Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery in Findley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Schipper Funeral home LTD in Colon.
