Community Forum Sessions

Officials from Centreville Public Schools are staging the second of four community-forum sessions regarding a November millage proposal request.

Tonight’s event starts at 7 p.m. at Centreville Elementary School, where Superintendent Rob Kuhlman will lead a Power Point presentation, and school board and committee members from “Our Kids First” will be on hand to field questions.

The district is hoping to generate $12.8 million with an additional 2.95 mills for improvements in its buildings, technology and transportation needs over a 15-year period. The request will be Centreville’s first since 1999.

Future community meetings all start at 7 p.m. and are at the elementary school. Those dates are Oct. 8 and 22. The first session took place Sept. 10 and drew less than a dozen people.
