Gertrude Ireen Geark, 91, of Three Rivers, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving sons. She was born July 13, 1922 in Schoolcraft the daughter of the late Ellis and Billie (Cobb) Butler.
Mrs. Geark has been a lifetime resident of this area. She was formerly employed in sales at Gilmore’s and also worked at Continental Can Company. She was a former member of the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Geark was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence VanOver; her second husband, Harold Geark; two sons, Thomas and Dennis VanOver; granddaughter, Nicole VanOver; one brother, William Butler; one sister, Marion Baker.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory four sons, Keith of White Pigeon, Robert of Schoolcraft, Paul and Ronald VanOver, both of Marcellus; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church, with Pastor Karen Wheat officiating.
Interment will be held in Schoolcraft Township Cemetery.
