Keith D. Anderson, age 79, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1934, in Noblesville, Ind., son of the late Delmar and Vera (Taylor) Anderson.
He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Keith is survived by his partner, companion and best friend, Marilee Marshall; six daughters, Christine Kretz of Auburn, Ind., Julie (DeWayne) Buss of Auburn, Ind., Kathryn (Richard) Barone of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kris Anderson of Costa Rica, Kellie (Fernando) Montero of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Karolyn (Chris) Kelly of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren who dearly loved him; two sisters, Kay (Tom) Bailey and Cindy (David) Persons and nephew, Keith Persons.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Keith Anderson.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Keith Anderson will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Michael Wicks will officiate. Full military honors will be conferred by Captain John Kelley Post #1355 VFW and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
