Ken Wright, 73

Kenneth R. “Ken” Wright, age 73, of Three Rivers, died Monday Sep. 2, 2013 surrounded by his family at home following a two year illness. He was born in Mendon on Nov. 14, 1939 the son of Duard Jack and Mozelle (Waldron) Wright. Ken graduated from Mendon High School before serving in the U.S. Army from 1959-61. He was married to Mary Buel in Three Rivers on April 6, 1963. Ken was a lifelong farmer who also worked at Continental Can Co. and Hydromatic in Three Rivers. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and carpentry, and he especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his wife, Mary; 2 sons, Perry (Rhonda) Wright of Three Rivers and Gregg Wright of Mendon; 2 grandchildren, Carrie and Lori Wright both of Mendon; 3 sisters Clair (Inge) Wright of Salinas, CA, Beverly Tulloch of Portage, MI, Janyce (Victor) Myers of Granger, IN; a brother, Wayne Wright of Mendon; sister in law, Janet Wright of Prunedale, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Travis Wright; and a brother, John Wright.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday Sep. 5, 2013 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Chaplain Dan Lane officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery with military rites by Hice-Shutes American Legion Post #170. Memorial donations will be directed to Three Rivers Health Homecare and Hospice, 633 S.
