Marcia Tobey, 61

Marcia K. Tobey, 61, of Burr Oak, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her home.

She was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Battle Creek to Joseph and Mary (March) Michielsen. On April 10, 1982, she married Arthur J. Tobey in Tekonsha. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2011.

Marcia was a very loving and caring person and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Her pastimes included oil painting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Regina) Price of Sturgis and Tonya (Dale) Deter of Burr Oak; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Denise) Michielsen of Battle Creek.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Union Church — United Church of Christ in Tekonsha, with the Rev. Barbara Pryor officiating.

The family was assisted by Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater.
