Two arrested for meth

Two people were arrested Friday at a Colon Township residence after police discovered the production of methamphetamine.

The St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit responded to a residence in the 28000 block of Bonham Road in response to a tip regarding suspected drug activity.

SCAN unit members found an active, one-pot meth lab and a second inactive lab inside the residence. In addition, investigators found packaged meth and evidence of meth use.

Two females, whose names, ages and place of residence were not included in a department media release, were taken into custody. They were charged with maintaining a meth lab, maintaining a drug house and possession of meth.

Investigators are looking for a man who was not at the residence when SCAN unit officers were on site.
