Willard Tase, 81

Willard Harvey Tase, age 81, of Three Rivers passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 9, 1931 in Fabius Township, Michigan the son of Clyde Arthur and Flossie Mildred (Smittendorf) Tase.

Willard was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a Corporal before his discharge in 1954. Willard was employed for over twenty-seven years as a foreman for Armstrong Machine Works before retiring in 1994. Willard was also a member of the Three Rivers Eagles #2303, Three Rivers Moose Lodge, and The American Legion Post #170. He loved his family and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing many card games with his euchre and poker clubs.

Willard leaves to cherish his loving family sons, Mike Tase of Evanston, Wyoming, MI and Jeff Tase of Three Rivers; daughter, Brenda(Mike)Fleckenstein of Three Rivers; brother, Warren(Phyllis)Tase of Three Rivers; sister, Erma Schippers of Three Rivers; long time companion, Ruth Bingaman; grandchildren, Aaron (Helen) Fleckenstein, of Antioch, TN., Adam (Tawnya) Fleckenstein, of Three Rivers, Robert (Holly) Fleckenststein, of Lexington, KY., Lisa (Corey) Smith, of Phoenix, AZ., Bryan (Tase) Sherer, of Detriot, MI., Kyle and Chad Tase, of Evanston, WY.; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 and beginning at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Moore officiating.

Interment will take place at Prairie River Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of Marcellus V.F.W.

Memorials in memory of Willard may be directed to the charity of One’s Choice in lieu of flowers. Envelopes are available at the Hohner Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hohnerfh.com.
