Lillian J. Noble, age 93, of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Chicago, IL., on May 13, 1920 the daughter of David and Joe Vesta (Carr) Noble. She was the third of eight children.
Ms. Noble never married or had children, however, she helped to raise all of her younger sisters children. Lil retired from the Union Carbide/Visking plant in Chicago in 1985.
Ms. Noble was preceded in death by parents, her only brother, L. Jerome Carr, three sisters, Mrs. Jean (Edwin) Brookens, Mrs. Edna (Irvin) Archey, and Ms. Shirley Noble, three nephews, Willis (Mikey) Noble, Edwin Brookens Jr., and Endell Brown Jr.; two great nieces, Mrs. Edith (James) Rivers, and Ms. Ellen Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three sisters, Ms. Dolores Goux, Mrs. Patricia (Sherwood) Mullen, Ms. Vesta Jamison; fourteen nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ms. Lillian Noble’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the On Common Ground Church, formerly First Baptist Church, 1020 Portage Ave., Three Rivers.
