More arrests for meth

Three people were taken into custody after a residence in Three Rivers was raided and methamphetamine production was discovered.

According to a sheriff’s department media release, members of the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit acted on a citizen tip regarding potential drug activity at a residence in the 200 block of North Hooker Avenue.

Once inside the residence, SCAN members found more than a dozen improvised vessels used for meth production.

A 46-year-old male, and two women ages 47 and 21, were charged with operating and maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth, maintaining a drug house and felony firearms.

Three Rivers Fire personnel and hazardous waste officials were called to remove the meth components from the house.
