Alan E. Davis, age 52, of Duluth, Minn., and formerly of Colon, passed away Oct, 12, 2013, at his home in Duluth.
Al was born March 8, 1961, in Sturgis, a son of the late Roger H. and Carol L. (Cupp) Davis.
He grew up in Colon, graduating from Colon High School with the class of 1979.
Al served in the U.S. Army and also in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was presently working as a certified nursing assistant in Duluth.
Al enjoyed the outdoors and was a fan of University of Michigan, Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.
He is survived by a brother, Steven H. (Pam) Davis of Richmond; a sister, Lori Ann (Dave) Nystrom of Colon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving dog, Cody.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held March 8, 2014, at Colon American Legion. If desired, memorials may be made in memory of Al to the charity of one’s choice.
