Raymond Wright, 104

Raymond “Sonny” Hugh Wright, 104, of Three Rivers, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Park Village Pines, Kalamazoo. He was born on July 19, 1909 in St. Joseph County, the son of the late Hugh John and Irma (Ayers) Wright.

Mr. Wright was united in marriage to Mrs. Twilla A (Oxley) Wright on Aug. 15, 1938 in Warsaw, Ind. They resided in Marcellus for 40 years before moving to Three Rivers for the last 30 years. Mr. Wright started his career with Four County Co-op in Marcellus and later Gold Medal Dairy in Lawton. He retired from Weyerhaeuser as a printer in 1974 after 31 years. Raymond was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers-Centreville.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Twilla; one brother, Clyde; and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory two daughters, Gleola Sies of Parchment and Beverly (Lee) Sherburn of Madison Heights; sons, Wayne (Darlene) Wright of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Albert Wright of Hopkins; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers-Centreville.

Interment will be held at Rose Hill-Nicholsville Cemetery, Volinia Township.
