Officials from Indiana Michigan Power said with one exception, the company has restored service to all customers who lost electricity as a result of the Nov. 17 wind storm.
In a media release issued over the weekend, I&M officials said they wish to thank customers for their patience during the hours without electricity.
The damage was extensive, company officials said. Across its service area, I&M recorded 388 broken poles, 187 broken cross arms on poles and 91 failed transformers.
I&M also extended thanks to the nearly 700 contractors and employees of other AEP companies who assisted in the restoration. Crews came from Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and other states to help restore power to more than 70,000 customers within four days of the storm event.
