Charles E. Peasley, age 83, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, December 17th, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Brookfield, Maine on June 2, 1930, a son of Harry & Myrtle (Simpson) Peasley.
On February 15, 1952 he married Patricia Parks in Hereford, SC. Charles worked at Robison Woodworking in Edwardsburg for many years, and then in Customer Service at Meijers in Three Rivers for 8 years until retiring in 2008. He had also been a policeman and a forest ranger. Charles enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Peasley, Three Rivers, sons Charles Peasley Jr., Bristol, Douglas Peasley, White Pigeon, daughter-in-law Cindy Gingerich, Shipshewana, sister Phyllis Graham and brother Douglas Peasley, both of Maine, and grandchildren Cary, Stacey, Charlie, Stanley, Shelley and Amber. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Stanley Peasley, grandson Michael Peasley, and brothers Basil Peasley and Lynwood Peasley.
Relatives and friends will be received Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Bart Connelly officiating. Interment will be in Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
