Ethel Ruggles, 92

Ethel Mae Ruggles, age 92, of Constantine, passed away December 21st, 2013 at her home. She was born in Constantine, on September 26, 1921, a daughter of Sam and Hazel (Rangler) Whitmore. Ethel graduated from Constantine High School in 1939. On January 26, 1946 Ethel married Harold A. Ruggles in Constantine. She worked as a secretary at Constantine Creamery and retired in 1986 after 40 years of service. Ethel and Sam were avid bowlers having participated in many leagues.

Surviving are her daughters Joyce (Robert) Brenner of Manistee, Kathy Ruggles of Plymouth, son Charlie (Sue) Ruggles of Milwaukee, WI, sister Florence Brothers of Elkhart, IN, granddaughter Becky (Jon) Grocki, great granddaughters Abby & Audrey Grocki all of Lansing. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Whitmore and sisters Dorothy Bycroft and Marian Rentfrow.

Relatives and friends will be received Thursday December 26, from 1 to 3 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Memorial Services will follow at 3 pm on Thursday with Pastor Robert Brenner officiating.
